THE FINISHING TOUCH
Valance serves a dual role, combining functionality with aesthetics. Beyond their decorative appeal, they excel in concealing the upper surfaces of lockers, adding a premium aesthetic to the entire locker system. In environments where cleanliness is paramount, such as hospitals, valances also prove invaluable in mitigating the accumulation of dust and debris.
Each type has its own unique advantages and considerations, which can be explored below. Also, you can count on our knowledgeable team to guide you in choosing the valance that meets your design goals, budget, available space, and functional requirements.

VALANCE OPTIONS
FLUSH-TOP TRIM
The 3/4″ Flush-Top Trim Valance combines simplicity and durability for locker installations. Its minimalist design complements modern spaces while also offering exceptional strength, making it resistant to damage even in high-traffic areas. This valance is designed to prevent any items, bags, or accessories from getting caught on it, eliminating the risk of accidental damage. It’s an ideal choice for spaces that prefer a clean and uncluttered appearance. Keep in mind, with this type of valance electrical conduit and similar features can be limited by the small 3/4″ space above.
FLUSH
If you want a taller facade for decorative elements or integrated lighting, the Flush Valance is a great choice, as it creates a 4.75″ cavity on top of lockers (if this is not desired, we can also add an additional top panel on top of the flush valance). It effectively conceals locker tops, adding a substantial and finished look. Keep in mind that it can be visually prominent, so it’s often best suited for rooms with higher ceilings.
STANDARD
The 4″ Standard Valance strikes a balance between minimalism and substance with a more traditional look due to it’s slightly recessed design. It also provides a taller surface for decorative elements, integrated lighting, or conduit integration, making it a versatile choice for various locker installations.
TOP PANEL
The 3/4″ Top Panel skillfully conceals the top of the lockers, resulting in a finished appearance. It completely covers the locker tops for a clean and uncluttered look. This valance also serves a dual purpose, as it can be utilized as a countertop for shorter lockers, optimizing space and functionality. However, it’s essential to keep in mind that its minimalistic design, while aesthetically pleasing, will eliminate space for integrated lighting or decorative elements.
VALANCE TO SOFFIT
Extending the valance to the soffit or ceiling creates a continuous built-in appearance. It allows ample space for integrated lighting, ventilation, and other features but necessitates sufficient ceiling height and typically involves a more complex installation.
